Just a few kilometers past Vattavada lies Kottakamboor. Access is restricted and the road is rough, leading to its nickname as the 'Ghost Village'.
Why Visit?
It isn't actually haunted (probably). It is called a ghost village because of its extreme isolation and low population density.
The drive there passes through dense pine forests that feel like Europe. The village sits right on the cliffs dropping down into Tamil Nadu.
The Vibe
There are no shops, no tea stalls, and rarely any people on the streets. Just rolling hills, windsway grasses, and mist. It is the ultimate spot for introspection and photography.
