A flash of electric blue in the dark green canopy.
The Nilgiri Flycatcher (Eumyias albicaudatus) is endemic to the Shola forests. It doesn't exist anywhere else on earth. Vattavada is one of the best places to spot it.
How to Find It?
They love the edges of the Shola forest where it meets the grasslands. Look for a small, verditer-blue bird perched on high exposed branches, scanning for insects.
