The Route
This 45km stretch is legendary. The road inside Pampadum Shola is narrow but perfectly paved. It cuts through dark, dense forest where sunlight barely touches the ground.
Road Conditions
- Munnar to Top Station: Wide corners, good tarmac. Watch out for KSRTC buses taking blind turns.
- Top Station to Checkpost: Rough patches.
- Checkpost to Vattavada: Smooth, narrow single lane. Warning: Lots of elephant dung and slippery moss on corners.
Biker Rules
1. Fuel Up: Tank full in Munnar. No pumps ahead.
2. No Modified Exhausts: The forest checkpost cops are strict. Loud pipes = Fine + Denied Entry.
3. Watch the Fog: After 4 PM, visibility drops to zero near Top Station.
